Our favourite local lunch place (16 min drive) -
Blommigt & Prickigt
Our absolute favorite local lunch spot is also an amazing bakery and café, complete with a charming garden store and boutique. The lunch menu is great value, featuring a delicious salad buffet along with your order. We often grab some fresh bread and baked treats to take home as well. The shop is worth a visit, offering a delightful selection of unique curiosities and thoughtful gifts.

Hjortviken Country Club
If you're craving a touch of retro glamour for lunch, dinner, or drinks, this spot is perfect for a stylish blast from the past. They offer a more affordable lunch deal if you're looking to enjoy the experience without splurging. The hotel, which reopened in 2025, has undergone a complete retro renovation and upgrade, blending old-school charm with modern comforts.
Walk out the studio and walk, hike, swim, dream... (0 min drive) -
There are quite a few trails you can find in the immediate surrounding area. These are not mapped so much as official trails, which makes them a lot more private, but at the same time there is no official signage. On the bright side this does make the local walks more of an adventure.
Here is a useful map on the link which shows most of the local trains when you go off-road.
Feel free to explore the area by yourself or you can take a peak at some of the below walks my dad recorded for us to share. Also, if you record your walks and are able to share these with us that would be brilliant.
Nature and Hikes - ~20 minute drives
As well as in the immediate area there are a number of beautiful Nature Reserves and other mapped walks which are super enjoyable. The below link is a great resource. The Nature Reserve in Hindas is very nice for example.
